...so Matt and I were in bed last night and the conversation went like this:
Matt: *rubbing his feet against mine* Doesn't wearing socks when you go to sleep give you nightmares?
Ray: I'm not wearing socks.
Matt: Oh. Sorry!
Ray: YOU THOUGHT I WAS WEARING SOCKS???
Matt: No! No! I just assumed you were.
Ray: You were touching my feet!!! Do you think I have furry feet?
Matt: I was touching your feet with my ankle! My ankle's not very sensitive!
Ray: Don't talk. I'm so upset right now.
This did not help my insecurities. (I still love you Matt!)

Weekend Goodbyes
...so this weekend I said goodbye to two good friends. Federico who left PeopleSoft/Oracle after eight years had his leaving drinks on Friday and in true PeopleSoft form everyone was absolutely shit-faced by 9pm. Have a great time travelling SE Asia and good luck back home Fed!
Also leaving our country was good old Stevie, after three weeks of relaxing back home. It's been awesome catching up with him again and a bonus for me 'coz he was able to be here for my 30th birthday. Although New York can have his humour back - it hasn't improved. Want "tibet"?
On a happier note we said hello to Scott who flew in again on one of his United trips. We welcomed him with Sunday dinner which Matt and I SLAVED over (but was a total hit!). We cooked a selection of tapas including:
- Bread with sun-dried tomato tapenade
- Chorizo in apple cider
- Meatballs in spicy tomato sauce
- Ham and cheese croquettes
- Patatas bravas with spicy tomato sauce
- Garlic mushrooms
- Honeyed carrots
- Traditional spanish tortilla
Great. Now I'm hungry.

Birthday Celebration #1
...so this past Sunday was my first birthday celebration - a casual Sunday lunch with some of my closest friends. Sydney busted out an awesome day - sunny and warm. Pics are listed under albums on the right.
New pics from New York/Vegas/San Francisco/Hawaii from last May are there also.
Still 2 days left of being 20-something...
p.s. Welcome home Steve. It's good to have you back.
